Breakfast at the Mooreland Garden Inn is like having a personal chef. As a small boutique inn, we are able to personalize each meal. Our breakfast is prepared from fresh, local ingredients (as much as possible), and with herbs from our garden. You choose when and where you would like to dine – on the porch, at the dining table, by the fire, or in the kitchen. Dawn discusses breakfast options the evening before with guests to understand their desires and any dietary restrictions to assure the food is “just the way you like it.” We want your breakfast experience to be a highlight of your stay.
Fresh berries and fruits are the feature of the first course. Fruit parfaits, fruit plates with dip, or baked pears (in season) are a few of the options.
The second course is savory. Eggs Benedict, omelets, different varieties of scrambled eggs, and non-egg dishes for vegetarian & vegan guests are always options. Most are served with a small breakfast salad. You can also choose the Mooreland Garden Inn oatmeal, pancakes, French toast, or our specialty quiche – a hash brown crusted quiche with shallots, asparagus, and three cheeses. Bacon, sausage, or fried ham complete the main event.
The third course is sweet. Dawn loves to bake! The aroma of freshly made scones, muffins, or pastries will greet you as you descend the stairs for breakfast. Each is served as a small portion, so you can enjoy just a taste if you like.
We offer an extensive selection of coffees and teas that are always available. In addition, we have a selection of soft drinks, bottled water, juices, packaged and inn-made snacks, for you to enjoy.
